...and now to another degree show....a virtual visit {to Harrogate} this time.
I was so excited to see Maki's final show having followed her blog charting the trials and tribulations of juggling a degree with working, building a studio, dealing with misbehaving kilns while managing to producing calm, beautiful, playful pieces.
.....the show centres around her simply striking 'Light of Hope' wall - porcelain pendant lights hung against a backdrop of cuttings and images from the Japanese earthquake. Lots more photos of the work being installed and the finished pieces on Maki's blog Shin Shin here.
Also, Maki is about to launch her second Help Japan Project...keep an eye on her blog for a new flock of birds!
