....a very nice indeed morning at the studio today......I always promise myself that I will try to make one piece at a time. Concentrate on one head, roll the clay, build the piece and paint it before I start another but this never NEVER happens. One because there is the inevitable drying time that leaves gaps for new stuff and two because I just can't resist getting my hands on more clay....... I currently have 3 pieces of work on the go ....although I spent some time doing sketches while stuff dried. But even here the clay is never far away - the earth colours are like painting with clay.....
Welcome to my blog. I am a UK artist based in the South West. I make heads and faces using ceramic materials from my studio on a windy hill between Bristol and Bath. I use drawing and photography too. This is about my work, finished pieces and workings out, my environment, my collections and fascinations...in fact everything that goes into my head that has some sort of creative impact/outcome.
