Who are you?

I'm not sure who this is but I like.......
It's been a day of contrasts - sun and hail.  We did our hour of bird spotting for the RSPB and saw three birds, as soon as the hour was up all the others made themselves known to us. The bird table continues to draw birds just not to a human schedule.

idle hands

Here are a few shots from the idle hands show in Dec. - our table of wares with my OW bag, Jt's 'Life Changing Decision...which will now be living in Keith's house in Plymouth and the four of us just before the dismantling.

it's up

A very exciting day yesterday, JT's much anticipated bird table was attached to the buddleia AND  even greater excitement today when we had our first visitors in the form of black birds, blue tits and black caps...and the cats slept on.......

Christmas has to come down soon but I want to keep this bit of it up for a while longer as I'm enjoying it so much.

Contemporary Craft Fair

Just a quick note to say I heard recently that I be showing my work at the Contemporary Craft Fair at Bovey Tracey, Devon in June. Click here for details.

Sara Fanelli

Happy New Year!

I got this beautiful book for Christmas from JT, it's signed and everything.  I wanted to share it with you....but not too much, just a taster -  I don't want to spoil it!  It is full of images from Fanelli's sketchbooks and other stuff like painted milk bottles and cardboard characters.  I've bought other books of hers over the years but this is the best yet! It even feels like a sketchbook.  The chapter headings are written in large confident pencil strokes in her trademark jumble script - the pencil marks look so real that I couldn't resist trying to smudge a line  with my finger.  If you know nothing of Fanelli look here.
