Open Eye Gallery

Two of my pieces can be seen at the Open Eye Gallery in Edinburgh from the end of the month as part of their Painted Lady exhibition.
zoooooooooooooooooooooooooom

After last week's trip to Aspex, Portsmouth for the opening of 'Must Have More' there was a bit of time for gardening but this week has been all go - no gardening and only a little bit of dawdling time to look at birds. The Idle Hands show is FAST approaching and we are trying to get it all sorted, invites have gone out (ish) but lots to do.
I had an inspiring day on Wednesday -got to visit Julie Arkell and see her work and studio and chat to her about it all.It was lovely to meet her and I hope to get to go to Flow to see her pieces there. The monograph produced for the Ruthin Craft Centre show Home is still one of my most favourite books.

in need of colour

I've been meaning to post this photo of the red jumper man and today being a dull day is the day to do it! Also been working on some speaking people and making some bubbles - which are quite beautiful objects in their own right. Must do more drawing, must do more drawing, must do more drawing..........

The Boss of it all

What a week!
Fireworks, big bangs, history in the making!
On a more personal note I delivered work to Aspex for the 'Must Have More' show which starts on 15th Nov - above are a couple of pieces that will be in it, properly photographed now - 'weighty' and 'a little bit one sided'. Also saw the 'The Boss of it all' - Lars Von Trier, screened as part of the Bath Film Festival - brilliant! Only mildly interrupted by Martin, Roger, a beer bottle, some tripping, an isle and a badly placed lampshade.
